The test hall with the institute boxes is regarded as a milestone in constructive timber construction in Austria.
Interdisciplinary communication, expandability and optimized work processes determine the overall concept. The institutes for concrete, wood and steel construction are docked as boxes at the newly constructed test and test hall. The two-floor provision of services along the halls along the side allows internal networking and overview in the experiments.
The communication between the institutes is also supported by common courtyards and terraces. Generous glazing on the front sides and shed roofs to the north create bright, lightflooded working areas. The structural timber construction (l = 84 m, b = 22 m, h = 13 m) impresses with its clear readability and the choice of materials.
